General Instructions to the Participants

TNWISE – 2025 TANCAMs hackathon for Women in Science and Engineering

  • TNWISE 2025 is not a 24-hour or 48-hour hackathon. You must select a theme, subtheme, or focus area in advance. Develop a prototype and present its functionality, use cases, and market value on the day of the hackathon. The tentative schedule is as follows: the hackathon will run from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the day of the event.
  • This hackathon is open to all women students from Tamil Nadu State Engineering Colleges, Deemed Universities, Polytechnic and Science Colleges.
  • A team must consist of at least one member and at most three members.
  • Accommodation will be provided at each spoke center, subject to a minimum charge for food and lodging.
  • All team members must be from the same college. However, you may collaborate with fellow students within your institution.
  • Students may select any subtheme from the theme assigned to their respective spoke center (KIT - Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute of Technology, SONA - Sona College of Technology, Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology, Thanjavur, KCT - Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore, Er. Perumal Manimekalai College of Engineering, Hosur, Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai). A team of students are required to formulate a problem definition and develop functional solutions with a prototype.
  • Students may select a subtheme of their choice as long as it aligns with the given theme. A digital prototype is also preferred (e.g., SolidWorks/CATIA).
  • The project will be evaluated, with greater weight given to those who adopt the technology and successfully create the prototype.
  • Projects will be evaluated based on innovation, technical complexity, usability, presentation quality, and alignment with the theme. The jury will assess each project, provide feedback, and assign scores accordingly.
  • A team must consist of at least one member and at most three members. All team members must be from the same college. However, you may collaborate with fellow students within your institution.
  • Participants may develop a 3D model/Software Application/Prototype/Hardware according to their chosen theme/title.
  • Participants must bring their own laptop to show their 3D Model/Software Application to the jury member during the presentation.
  • Participants must bring their prototype and present it to the jury members during the presentation.
  • Download the pre-formatted PPT template from website and customize it with your unique insights and ideas to showcase your project on the theme. Download Sample PPT
  • Submission of Project Files

    📌   Follow the instructions provided before the file submission step during the upload process. Ensure that the PPT file is named according to the given guidelines.
    🔗   Store all necessary files, including the PPT, 3D models, application files, project report, etc., in a cloud drive (Google Drive/Dropbox) and share the link in the designated space.

  • Accommodation will be provided to the participants at each spoke center, subject to the minimum rate for food and accommodation.
  • The presentation schedule and hall details will be posted on the noticeboard within the college venue premises.
  • Please remember to bring the original student identity card issued by the institute with you at the time of registration on the day of the event.
